Artificial hatching of glass catfish

Artificial Hatching of Glass Catfish
Glass Catfish

Glass cats swim very fast. They are tilted about 40 degrees when standing still, and their transparent crystal-like bodies are quite translucent. Here, the editor has organized the outline of the artificial growth of glass cats.
1. Incubation temperature
The artificial incubation temperature is 25~28℃, and the temperature difference cannot exceed 0.5℃.
2. Hatching Tips
The fertilized eggs obtained after fertilization should be fished out immediately, foreign matter should be removed, and any eggs with small white freckles and abnormal abnormalities should be removed. The fertilized eggs are then moved into a cultivation box for hatching.
3. Hatching Notes
(1) When siphoning fertilized eggs from the bottom of the egg pool, use a leather hose with a diameter of about 1cm. If you use a hard straw, it may be possible. Fertilized egg formation damage.
 (2) The water quality for incubation and cleaning water should be good, and the water temperature should not vary too much and should be kept relatively constant. For fertilized eggs, severe temperature changes will cause embryonic sacrifice.
 (3) During the incubation period, aborted eggs should be removed immediately every day, the water should be changed frequently, and feeding and management should be strengthened.
4. Successful hatching
After about 2 days of hatching, the small fish can emerge from the membrane. The swimming ability of the newly emerged fry is short and they lie quietly on the bottom of the water. For the first 2 to 3 days, the larvae lie quietly on the bottom of the water, and there is no need to feed them at this time.
5. Improve survival
When 3 to 4 days old, the glass cat larvae can swim freely (flat swimming) and start to look for food. At this time, you can use a silk net to get a little egg yolk in the water. Stir gently until the water turns slightly yellow. It is suitable to add calcium mother tablets, compound vb solution, oxytetracycline, etc. to improve the survival rate of fry.
6. Hatching diseases
Glass catfish has fewer diseases during hatching. Lack of clean water can cause ciliates and other organisms to corrode hatching eggs and reduce hatchability.
