Food habits:Omnivore. Under artificial feeding conditions, they like to eat animal feed, such as lean pork, small fish, liver, etc., and also eat some carrots, cucumbers and mixed feed. Do not eat cabbage leaves, potatoes, and duckweed; do not eat lean pork if it turns white after being soaked in water for a long time.
Living habits:The four-eyed turtle is naturally fragile. They generally like to live in dark places at the bottom of the water, such as under rocks and around corners. After exposing your nostrils to the surface of the water several times to breathe, lie still under the water for about 15-20 minutes.
Growth customs: Oviparous, with egg-laying period from May to mid-June. There are often 1-2 eggs and eggs are laid in batches. The egg is 43mm long, 22mm wide and weighs about 15 grams.
Appearance characteristics:Medium size. The skin on the top of the head is smooth and scale-free, the upper beak is not hook-shaped, there are 2 pairs of eye spots on the back of the head, each eye spot has a black dot, and there is a vertical stripe on the neck.
Rareness level:This species has been included in the "Beneficial Possibility of National Protection" promulgated by the State Forestry Administration of China on August 1, 2000. "List of terrestrial wild animals with important economic and scientific research value."
